Skyrim All Nocs Have Option You Know

More to Say adds inconsequential dialogue to NPCs, synthetic from the NPC greetings and miscellaneous lines from the same vocalisation blazon. Information technology is fully voiced, using existing sound files from Skyrim Special Edition. It aims to stay true to each NPC's character and story, though some liberties are taken to add character depth. Currently, this mod covers the NPCs in Whiterun, Riverwood, Shor'south Stone and Karthwasten. Information technology too adds some dialogue to the city and settlement guards.

Features

-- miscellaneous dialogue with Whiterun, Falkreath, Winterhold, Riverwood, Shor'due south Stone, Karthwasten, Ivarstead, Dragon Span, Whistling Mine and Rorikstead NPCs (see this article for details on which NPCs are covered).
-- fully voiced using the original game files and splicing.
-- the player can repair their human relationship with Sven or Faendal later A Lovely Letter is complete.
-- brawl with Nazeem simply because he'southward annoying you.

-- followers can give you pointers on certain skills where their skills are above 25 and yours are beneath twenty.
-- tell your dog followers "good dog" or "bad dog", and give them treats.

-- adds a few additional small quests from Lucan, Hulda, Belethor, Lynly, Solaf, Zaria, Narri, Severio Pelagia, Birna, Reldith, Sissel, Rorik, Jouane Manette, and Tasius Tragus (if yous accept a mod adding him to your game).
-- adds a few boosted skill checks subconscious in some NPC dialogues.
-- discover the secret of Rorikstead.
-- Jouane can heal you if yous are diseased. (He is a healer after all.)
-- some (explicitly named) obnoxious and belligerent guards in Windhelm can harass y'all.
-- some (explicitly named) decadent guards in Riften can harass you.

-- gossip with Valga and Narri at Dead Human being'southward Drink.
-- proclaim Ulfric as the rightful high king in Siddgeir's court for an immersive fashion to get sent to Falkreath jail.

Installation / Uninstallation

To install, download the chief files yous desire to install with your favorite mod managing director. Or download and unzip the archives, and place the two files (the esp and the bsa) for each module in your Skyrim data directory.

To uninstall, simply delete the esps and bsas. Warning:  This mod adds some scripts. My understanding is that uninstalling will spoil your active save, and you lot must start a new game. Generally, it is a bad idea to uninstall a modernistic mid-playthrough, and regardless of whether it seems to piece of work for you, this is not supported.

Load Order and Compatibility

Utilize Boodle to set your load lodge. Otherwise... More to Say goes somewhere in the heart, I suppose? Because More to Say is mostly adding new records, it should not matter much. However, for Arthmoor'southward Falkreath, ensure it loads later More to Say (merged version or Falkreath module). I'm not sure Boodle will do this automatically, then you may have to create a rule for this. User-friendly Carriages and Touring Carriages also need to load after the Falkreath module. Same thing with Arthmoor's Whistling Mine and the Winterhold module. And for Cities of the North - Dawnstar, Janquel has graciously created a pocket-sized patch you can get here.

This modernistic is compatible with most city overhauls. Information technology should be compatible with only near everything, and incompatibilities I larn about will exist catalogued here.

If you utilise a mod similar Unofficial High Definition Audio Project, y'all *may* find the new lines from this mod are lower quality. I apply both and can't tell, but your mileage may vary.

Opening Scene Overhaul SE changes Hadvar's voice, so if you use it, Hadvar won't have the new lines I added for him. Improved Follower Dialogue - Lydia similarly changes Lydia'due south phonation, so if you lot use that she won't have the new lines I added for her. Shezzarine - The Fate of Tamriel - Prologue revoices Onmund, and then if yous use that, he won't have the new lines I added for him. These are the mods I'thou currently aware of that revoice vanilla characters. For other mods that do this, I may need to add weather condition to ensure my dialogue using vanilla voicing doesn't surface.

Carriage and Ferry Travel Overhaul is compatible as a special case. More than to Say checks for its installation with GetFormFromFile to ensure Bjorlam and Gunjar go their dialogue, no patch required, equally long as yous don't merge or rename CFTO.

In a narrative sense, minor "incongruities", (where NPCs say something that doesn't make sense in the context of your game) might be expected if you are radically changing Whiterun, Falkreath, Riverwood, Rorikstead, Shor's Stone, the Primary Quest, or the Civil War in your load order.

If you apply a mod to accommodate bounty rewards, exist aware that the quest rewards from this modern will be unaffected. I'm considering ways to potentially adjust for this in the futurity, but haven't settled on a direction withal.

More to Say is fully compatible with Guard Dialogue Overhaul. For SE, I'1000 aware of two different versions of GDO. This refers to either Baby-sit Dialogue Overhaul SE or Guard Dialogue Overhaul Redux. Either should exist uniform with More to Say.

Use of Skyrim Reputation, No NPC Greetings (Special Edition), To Your Face or a like mod reducing the frequency of NPC greetings is highly encouraged.

My testing for 7.0 was done with:

Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch
Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul SE
Alternate Kickoff - Alive Another Life
Skyrim Reputation
Better Dialogue Controls
Relationship Dialogue Overhaul - RDO SE
Cutting Room Flooring
Obscure's College of Winterhold
Not So Fast Mage Guild
Improved College Entry - Questline Tweaks

All of these are highly recommended.

If you lot like this sort of modern, some other mods (past other mod authors) y'all might desire to consider, that are, equally far as I know, completely compatible:

Misc Dialogue Edits and More Dialogue Options
Serana Dialogue Edit and Serana Dialogue Add-On
Teldryn Serious
Denizens of Morthal

If you use More to Say, you don't need Priests Grant Blessings, as it is included in this mod.

A Note Nearly Repetitiveness

While not strictly required, apply of Skyrim Reputation or No NPC Greetings (Special Edition) (or a like modern that limits the frequency with which you hear greetings) is highly encouraged. I had to make a choice whether to remove the greetings I used from the NPC greetings loops. If I removed the greetings, in that location would be less chance you would hear the same line twice from the same NPC. Simply it would mean potentially having to supply patches for an unknown number of other mods that edited those greetings. I chose instead to allow for greater compatibility and exit the greetings alone. Equally a bonus, it makes working on this mod a bit easier as well.

Delight continue in mind that, equally I empathise it, even the virtually ambitious version of No NPC Greetings will not foreclose yous from always hearing the NPC's greetings: the NPCs can still offering them when you lot enter conversation, just not when you are 100 feet away. I prefer Skyrim Reputation myself.

So. When reporting bugs, please let me know about repetitive lines that bother you, only also let me know if you are using a mod to arrange the greetings or non. And please go on in mind that at that place are just so many recorded lines in Skyrim. Sometimes the only choices bachelor are "meh", "mediocre" and the aforementioned matter I just used. And then, while I may feel your hurting, I may not modify /fix every case of repetitive dialogue. I promise you sympathize.

I found during testing that, for myself at least, using Skyrim Reputation or No NPC Greetings, repetitiveness of lines was inside acceptable parameters. Your mileage may vary. This modernistic may not be for everyone. Merely I practise hope you'll give information technology a chance. :)

FAQ Q: Whatever plans to move on to other cities and towns?

A: Aye! I'm currently taking a interruption to actually play the game. Next will likely be Ivarstead and/or Dragon Span. Riften is my slap-up beast to be slain...

Q: Does this require a new game? A: Installing a new major version of the modern for the first fourth dimension requires a new game. If you lot've already installed the major version, a pocket-sized version update should be safe to install on an existing game. Each version of the mod is of the form: [major].[minor] or [major].[small].[patch].

Q: Is at that place an XB1 version?

A: Yes! Thanks to SkyrimLeona for the XBOX version, which can be found here.

Q: Is at that place a Skyrim LE version?

A: Thanks to FetorMortum, at that place is now an LE version that can be found here. Madows has decided to step back from hosting the LE port every bit he has now migrated his own game to SE.

Q: Will at that place be a version for [my preferred platform]?

A: I do non plan to do any ports myself, but please meet the permissions department of the mod. Permissions are open for some ports. Contact me delight if the platform in question is non listed at that place.

Q: Can I translate this modern to [my language]?

A: Permissions are also open to anyone who wants to translate this mod into another linguistic communication. Just credit me and notify me please. Besides, delight permit me know what I can practise to back up you on this.

Traditional Chinese translation by hor0303 can exist found here. (thanks hor0303!)
Italian translation past MaximilianPs can be found here (thanks MaximilianPs!)

Q: Is this uniform with [my favorite mod]?

A: Almost certainly! I'thousand trying very difficult to keep this compatible with other mods. It is at this point only new records, so there should not be any conflict resolution or patches required. The most likely compatibility issue you will encounter is with other mods that change the context in which the lines are given. For instance, some mods might significantly irresolute the nature of Riverwood, the Master Quest or the Civil State of war. Some NPC lines in More than to Say are conditioned on the actor'due south progress in these quests, and they may no longer make sense. I hope this respond is clear enough.

Q: Why practice I go on hearing the line [Ten] over and over?

A: Many of the NPC comments are taken from NPC greetings. To minimize conflicts with other mods, I have not edited or removed the greetings I used, or any other lines. Someone could practice this, if they wanted, simply conflict resolution would be required with other mods making changes to those greetings. And I prefer to keep the mod more uniform. This is why something like No NPC Greetings is highly encouraged as a companion to this modern.

Q: Are you including voice files or just pointing at the existing phonation files?

A:  The Creation Kit requires the vocalism files to have particular filenames, including the associated form ids as role of the filename. I haven't establish a manner around this, so yes, I am including phonation files in the bsa.

Some of the voice files are really completely new, having been clipped together from existing lines of the same voice blazon. I sincerely promise this doesn't carp you because I've had tremendous fun making these new lines. But please let me know which lines are troubling in the comments. Feedback is very helpful.

Q: Which version should I use?

A: Near users should prefer the main version. In the master version (aka "the fomod version"), each module is an ESL-flagged ESPs. This means they does not count toward the 254 or so maximum number of plugins. As long as it'due south possible, advisable, and non likewise much of a hassle, I volition prefer ESL-flagged ESPs. If yous are a VR user, even so, my understanding is that the ESL-flagged ESPs even so cease up counting toward the plugin limit, so you should adopt the optional merged version. You are, of course, welcome to employ whichever you prefer.

Q: How tin can I get to line 10?

A: Here'due south some general advice:

  • Talking to people volition unlock more than dialogue for other people.
  • Talking to people at different stages of the early Main Quest and other local quests will unlock some dialogue that might but make sense at that indicate.
  • Some dialogue depends on your factions.
  • Some dialogue in Riverwood in depends on whether yous chose Hadvar or Ralof, or the Stormcloaks or the Empire.
  • Some dialogue changes depending whether certain characters are alive or non.
  • Try not to worry also much about any particular chip. This is all pretty inconsequential dialogue. That'south part of the point.

Q: Do I need to start a new game?
A: To install whatsoever of the modules, yes. More to Say is using start-enabled quests for virtually (just not all) of the dialogue. And so, if you add the modern to an existing save, you lot won't see most of the new dialogue. To update, the reply is: possibly. An update to a new major version (ex. two.x -> 3.10) will require a new game to update. An update to the small version or patch version will not require a new game. But check the pasty in the comments for details earlier updating.

Q: Um, actually Sven's ballad is a sonnet. Don't you know the deviation?

A: Cheers for pointing this out. Sven describes himself as a prodigy and only spent a short time at the Bard'southward College. Perhaps he is capable of writing nifty poetry, but is less aware of these sorts of distinctions.

Q: How can I start the new quests in the Riverwood?

A: Finish the Golden Claw and A Lovely Letter. Lucan will give you one. The other tin can come from Faendal or Sven, regardless of which one you sided with earlier.

Q: How tin I offset the new quests in the Rorikstead?

A: Finish Before the Tempest and talk to everyone in Rorikstead at least in one case. Reldith can give you lot one quest. Sissel can give you another quest. In one case you've discovered the secret of Rorikstead and decided what to do about it, either Jouane or Rorik tin can requite yous some other (repeating) quest.

Q: I'm utterly lost on discovering the cloak-and-dagger of Rorikstead. Assist?

A: Starting time by talking to Erik the Slayer away from Rorikstead virtually why Rorikstead's fields are and so fertile. [ If you lot don't want even minimal spoilers, finish reading at present.]  Then go dorsum to Rorikstead, talk to people and poke around. Find the suspicious book in Rorik's Manor, then find its owner.

Q: I actually don't like those Obnoxious and Belligerent guards in Windhelm. Can you lot make them less obnoxious and belligerent?

A: So... I like them for office-playing. For those of us who like to play white knight characters, only want to go sent to jail for doing the right thing, I put them in as an option. And yes, they are a flake racist. If you *really* don't like that idea, I've provided a few "outs". Outset, the only guards with these obnoxious dialogues are explicitly named "Obnoxious Windhelm Baby-sit" or "Belligerent Windhelm Guard". So talk to other guards instead. Or, if you do detect yourself talking to one, and get out the conversation immediately, there won't exist whatever consequences. Or, if you are meek with them, at that place won't exist any consequences. If you are pushy, permit information technology get on for a while, or attempt a skill check and it fails, you might get in a fight with the guards, or sent to jail, or incur a bounty. And it'south totally unfair. And that's the point. But too delight note that it isn't *every* guard in Windhelm. There are simply *some* racist guards there, and they are explicitly called out. Equally an farthermost selection, you can choose non to install the guards module, just I promise y'all'll requite them a chance to exist hateful and ruin your character'south twenty-four hour period (but non yours), and part play effectually them.

Q: I've found Angi. How tin can I get rid of the objective marker?

A: Complete her archery tutorial, then thank her. Or you lot can kill her and tell Legate Skulnar.

Q: How tin can I get Jarl Korir to summon me?

A: Be the Archmage. And then talk to Tolfidr about whether he thinks you'll be a good Archmage. That should kickstart the Courier to come up find you lot. Note that siding with the Imperials won't stop him from summoning you and he still styles himself Jarl of Winterhold, simply you should go some different dialogue options in that event.
